Customer: Any User who posts a request for meal preparation services.
Chef: Any self-employed individual who offers meal preparation services through our platform.
Services: The meal preparation services offered by Chefs through the platform.

3. Services Provided

3.1 Description

Meal Prep Chef provides a marketplace where Customers can connect with self-employed Chefs for customized meal preparation services. Meal Prep Chef acts solely as an intermediary between Customers and Chefs and does not employ the Chefs.

3.2 Limitation of Liability

Meal Prep Chef is not liable for any actions or omissions of Chefs, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or health issues resulting from the services provided by the Chefs.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration

To use our platform, Users must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

4.2 Account Termination

Meal Prep Chef reserves the right to terminate or suspend any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.

5. Responsibilities and Conduct

5.1 For Customers

Accurate Information: Customers must provide accurate and complete information when posting requests and interacting with Chefs.
Payment: Customers agree to pay for the services rendered by Chefs in accordance with the agreed-upon terms.
Compliance: Customers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the platform.

5.2 For Chefs

Independent Contractor: Chefs acknowledge that they are independent contractors and not employees of Meal Prep Chef. Chefs are solely responsible for their actions and the quality of their services.
Licenses and Permits: Chefs must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and insurance required to provide their services.
Compliance: Chefs must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and health standards.
Profile Information: Chefs must provide accurate and complete information in their profiles and keep this information up to date.

6. Booking and Payment

6.1 Booking Process

Customers can book services by posting a request and selecting a Chef. Once a booking is confirmed, both parties will receive a confirmation email with the details of the service.

6.2 Payment Terms

Service Fees: Meal Prep Chef may charge a service fee for the use of the platform. This fee will be disclosed to both Customers and Chefs prior to booking.
Payment Processing: Payments will be processed through our third-party payment processor. Customers authorize Meal Prep Chef to charge their payment method for the agreed-upon amount.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

7.1 For Customers

Customers may cancel a booking according to the cancellation policy set by the Chef. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the Chef’s cancellation policy.

7.2 For Chefs

Chefs may cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Customer will be notified, and a full refund will be issued.

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1 Informal Resolution

We encourage Users to resolve disputes informally. Users can contact Meal Prep Chef support for assistance in resolving disputes.

8.2 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Meal Prep Chef or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Users may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written permission.

10. Privacy Policy

By using our platform, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Amendments

Meal Prep Chef reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. We will notify Users of any significant changes by posting the revised Terms on our website. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

13. Prohibited Conduct and Account Termination

13.1 Direct Contact Prohibition

Chefs are strictly prohibited from contacting clients directly outside the Meal Prep Chef UK platform with the intention of avoiding platform fees and commissions. Any attempt to circumvent the platform’s payment system by arranging bookings or payments directly with clients will be considered a severe breach of our Terms and Conditions.

13.2 Consequences of Breach for Chefs

If a chef is found to have contacted clients directly:

Account Termination: The chef’s account will be immediately terminated, and they will be permanently banned from the platform.
Cancellation of Bookings: All current bookings associated with the offending chef will be canceled and reassigned to another chef.
Liability for Fees: The chef will still be liable to pay the platform fees and commissions that they attempted to avoid.

13.3 Consequences of Breach for Clients

Clients are also prohibited from contacting chefs directly to bypass platform fees. If a client is found to have engaged in such conduct:

Account Termination: The client’s account will be immediately terminated, and they will be permanently banned from the platform.

13.4 Mutual Responsibility

Both chefs and clients are responsible for adhering to this policy. Any violation by either party will result in the removal of both accounts from the platform and a permanent ban.

13.5 Enforcement

Meal Prep Chef UK reserves the right to monitor communications between chefs and clients on the platform to enforce this policy. By using the platform, you consent to such monitoring for the purpose of ensuring compliance with these Terms.
